We are thrilled to announce that Booster Capital has signed an agreement to acquire a significant stake in Artesana, Romania’s leading premium dairy brand.
The transaction, expected to close in the coming months, involves both the acquisition of shares from financial investor ROCA Investments and capital increases to support the company’s future growth. Booster Capital will become a partner alongside Alina and Daniel Donici, the founders of Artesana.

“Artesana will continue to grow as a strong Romanian brand with local roots and an international outlook. We chose Booster Capital as our partner for the next phase of development because of their solid experience in production, branded consumer goods, and retail, as well as our shared values and vision,” said Daniel Donici.

The joint plans include an investment of up to EUR 10 million in a new factory specializing in artisanal cheese products, acceleration of domestic growth and international expansion, and further strengthening of the organization. In addition to organic growth, Artesana is also exploring strategic acquisitions of other niche dairy players, leveraging Booster Capital’s extensive M&A and integration expertise.

The founders will continue to lead Artesana.

Artesana projects a turnover of EUR 15 million in 2025, with more than 30 SKUs and a presence in approximately 2,500 retail stores across Romania.

This is the second transaction of Booster Capital in 2025. In April, the fund invested in Bisbags, one of the leading paper packaging producers in Romania, alongside the founder and CEO Iulia Sullivan.

The transaction is expected to close in April 2025.

The investment consists predominantly of growth capital, destined to support Bisbag’s ambitious development plans.

The company plans to triple its turnover before 2030, from EUR 6.2 million in 2024.

The production facility of Bisbags is located in Petris, jud. Bistrita-Nasaud, employs c. 100 people, and is currently able to process c. 10,000 tonnes of paper annually.
